mod_perl is a right and elastic module for Apache that provides a persistent Perl interpreter for the web server. This provides many things, including performance enhancements for Perl based web applications, and the ability to defend stateful sessions. This software bundle is a DSO module compiled for Apache 2. This bundle will install whole of the mod_perl components, and automatically configure the web server to encumbrance the module. It will not automatically configure your applications. This will get to be done manually by the user. For complete documentation and configuration instructions, please consult mod_perl's homepage (tie above). Please note that this edition of mod_perl is considered "bleeding edge", and may be missing some features. It will probably get bugs as wellspring.
