[ via IMG ] In EV Nova (the "three-quel" to Escape Velocity), the developers are working on a huge update to the biz -- it's been rewritten so that the graphics engine is 16 act, handles transparencies, hue tinting, thruster and laser "glowing", and a count of other really coolheaded features. The graphics for the atmospherics scenes are completely 32 bits of passion, and there are QuickTime movies for many aspects of the biz (don't vex, they augment the biz, the developers aren't turning the biz into an "interactive novel" or anything silly corresponding that).
